The Union County Saddle Club Arena is a great destination for equestrians, trainers, and public spectators. Also known as the Union County Saddle Club, the club was organized and established in 1986. The purpose of the Saddle Club is to promote the equine industry and recreation with a priority towards benefiting the health, safety, and welfare of the horse and riders of all skill levels.
The Union County Saddle Club Arena is conveniently located off Hwy 515 west of Blairsville. The Arena is a state-of-the-art facility that includes a properly lit enclosed show arena, an outdoor practice area with obstacles and round pen, a concession stand, and a clubhouse with a meeting room and restrooms.
The Arena's facilities host several events each year from April thru October. These events include open horse shows, barrel racing, team roping, ranch sorting, special invitational shows for the handicapped, rodeos, trail rides, clinics and exhibitions. The Saddle Club is also a supporter for the local 4-H club, and participates in local parades.
This fine facility has also been made available to additional clubs, groups and organizations that provide valuable and vital programs for those in Union County.
